Always look for advantages

Always look for advantages

Traveling abroad and visiting airports all around the world, gives us experience which are hard to forget, especially when they result in impressing predicament that are hard to avoid.

For example, I remember in one of my trips back home from Europe, it was necessary to pass through Jeddah airport before reaching the final destination ,When I arrived at the airport in Jeddah, there was almost about two hours until the flight departure to Riyadh, I decided to relax in the airport café for an hour and then I leave, and after I finished relaxing i went  to the departure gate and found that the trip had left !

I asked an employee about the reason for early departure time?
He told me after looking at  the way of my dress, are you one of the passengers who were coming from abroad?
I said yes,
He said to me, and what time is it on your  watch now?

Then I realized I have did not changed  the time difference between Europe and Saudi Arabia on my watch.

This was one of the most embarrassing situations for me and which can not be forgotten.
the first thing that popped  into my mind was asking for  the nearest flight to Riyadh, but unfortunately the closest trip was after about six hours so I had to book this trip.

I think i should have  changed  the time difference on my watch when I first  arrived in Jeddah terminal. Or I could have worn  two different  watches with local Saudi time and the time of the country I was visiting.

I learned from this embarrassing situation that in away of any future travels, to always follow the announcement I hear over the mice from the captain and change the time to the local destination-time

Finally, the mistake  is not  the existence of embarrassing predicaments  while traveling, but not to take advantage of the small situations  and change  it  to something concrete and positive for  the future.
